5 Year Dual Degree Integrated Post Graduate Programme Admission-2013


Admission in five year dual degree integrated post graduate programme, leading to award of B.E. and M.Tech/MBA degree, in following University Teaching Departments of RGPV, Bhopal; Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology will be held on the basis of merit list of RNET-2013

Eligibility: 
At the time of admission the candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination, conducted by Board of Secondary Education, Madhya Pradesh or any other recognised board, in first division (relaxation of 5% marks for reserved category candidates of Madhya Pradesh) securing pass marks separately in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry

The reservation of seats shall be applicable as per the norms of Govt of Madhya Pradesh
RNET-2013: 
The RNET-2013 entrance test will be held on 28th April, 2013 in various centers of the country

How to Apply
You may apply online at the CMC website http://admissions.cmcvellore.ac.in from 18 th February 2013 onwards. The basic administrative fee of Rs.800/- and registration fees - All UG degree courses Rs.500/- for each course, all AHS Diploma and Diploma Nursing courses Rs.100/- for each course and MSc Rs.500/- for each course, can be paid as follows:
1. As a challan at no extra cost at any branch of ICICI bank in India. A challan will be generated when  filling payment details in the application form. Please mention FC-CMC-V on the challan. (Send the original challan with the application form).
2. Demand draft in favour of “C.M.C. Vellore Association a/c” on any Scheduled Bank, payable in Vellore. Keep your demand draft ready before filling the application form. Write your name and application number on the back of the demand draft before dispatching.
3. Online payment using payment gateway

The last date to access online application is 2nd April 2013. The last date for submission of the printed online application form is 5th April 2013.

Application Procedure

You may apply online or request a printed application form, either by post or in person. In either case, there is an application fee of Rs. 600/-.
The preferred mode of applying to CMI's programmes is to fill out the online application form. Click on the appropriate link below.
Note: You need not choose between BSc (Hons) Mathematics and Computer Science and BSc (Hons) Mathematics and Physics at the time of applying. The choice can be made after admission.

Alternatively, you can obtain application forms and information brochures by post. Send a DD for Rs. 600/- in favour of Chennai Mathematical Institute payable at Chennai to the address given here. Indicate clearly your name, address and the programme(s) you are applying for.

For BSc, you need not choose between BSc (Hons) Mathematics and Computer Science and BSc (Hons) Mathematics and Physics at the time of applying. For MSc/PhD, you can apply for multiple programmes (see below for more details) but you need to send only a single DD.

Last Date

The last date for receiving completed application forms is Monday, 15 April, 2013.

Entrance examination schedule

The entrance examinations on Wednesday, May 15, 2013, are scheduled as follows:

Morning session, 09:30-12:30   BSc (common exam for BSc (Hons) Mathematics and Computer Science, BSc (Hons) Mathematics and Physics)

Afternoon session, 14:00-17:00   MSc/PhD Mathematics MSc/PhD Computer Science MSc Applications of Mathematics PhD Physics

Applying to multiple programmes

You may apply to multiple programmes.

If you are applying to more than one programme, you need to send only a single DD for Rs. 600/-, whether you apply online or request a form by post.

If you apply online, there is a single form to apply for all undergraduate (BSc) programmes and another form to apply for all postgraduate (MSc/PhD) programmes.

If you request a printed form by post or in person, you may have to fill out more than one application form, depending on the combination of programmes you apply for.

There is a common entrance examination for the MSc and PhD programmes in Mathematics. Similarly, there is a common entrance examination for the MSc and PhD programmes in Computer Science.

The entrance examination for MSc/PhD in Mathematics is at the same time as the examinations for MSc in Applications of Mathematics and MSc/PhD in Computer Science. You may apply for multiple programmes amongst these.

The entrance exam you have to write depends on which combination of courses you apply for:

If you apply for MSc/PhD in Mathematics in combination with any other course, you must write the exam for MSc/PhD in Mathematics. 

If you do not apply for MSc/PhD in Mathematics but you apply for MSc in Applications of Mathematics in combination with MSc/PhD in Computer Science, you must write the exam for MSc in Applications of Mathematics. 

Based on your performance in the exam you write, you will be called for an interview to finalise your admission in the other courses that you apply for.

Scholarships
All students receive handsome scholarships that meet all expenses. B.Sc. (Hons.) students receive a scholarship of Rs. 4000 per month, M.Sc. students receive a scholarship of Rs. 5000 per month and Ph.D. scholarships start at Rs. 16000 per month. Students of B.Sc. (Hons.) also receive an additional monthly scholarship of Rs. 1000, made possible through generous private donations.

Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) - Admissions 2013


IISERs

To promote high quality scientific research and training, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India has set up five Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs)at Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune and Thiruvananthapuram.

BS-MS Dual Degree Programme

It is a five year dual degree programme for bright and motivated students of science who have completed class XII. It integrates classroom learning with research and provides ample scope for multidisciplinary interactions.

Admission to BS-MS Dual Degree Programme 2013
Following channels are available for admission to the Five Year BS-MS Dual Degree programme beginning August 2013.

Admission Eligibility

To seek an admission, you should apply through at least one of the three channels.

(a) KVPY: SA(2011)/SX(2012)/SB(2012)/SP(Passed 10+2 in 2012/2013)
(b) Candidates qualified in IIT-JEE (Advanced)-2013: subject to the condition that such candidates are in
top 20 percentile list of successful candidates of their boards in respective categories (General, SC, ST,
OBC and PD).
(c) Central and state boards: (Class XII passed in 2012 or 2013). Candidates having INSPIRE fellowship certificate obtained from the boards or securing marks* above the cut-off % available at DST website (http://dst.gov.in/)
(*) % marks = ( Total marks obtained in all subjects X 100 ) / Maximum possible marks. For OBC (non-creamy) and PD, a 5% relaxation of the DST cut-off is tenable. For SC/ST the cut-off is 55% in Class XII for all boards.

All five IISERs admit students through a common application and counseling process.
Seat Allotment

Up to 25% seats in each category (General/SC/ST/OBC Non-creamy) through KVPY channel.
Up to 50% seats in each category (General/SC/ST/OBC Non-creamy) from KVPY + JEE (Advanced) channels.
Remaining seats in each category through Central and State Boards channel based on an Aptitude test conducted by IISERs.

Fee

(1) Rs. 600/- for General/OBC/PD applicants.
(2) Rs. 300/- for SC/ST
Scholarship
