Professional Diploma Courses 2013 (Pharmacy, Health Inspector and Paramedical Courses)

The LBS Centre for Science and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram, has invited applications for admission to two-year professional diploma courses in paramedical streams in government and private self-financing institutions.

CRITERIA FOR ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION
Only Indian citizens are eligible for admission unless otherwise notified. Holders of Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) cards/ OCI (Overseas Citizen of India), will also be treated at par with Indian citizens for the limited purpose of admissions. However, PIO/OCI candidates will not be eligible for any kind of reservation. Candidates seeking admission to the courses will be categorized as Keralite and NonKeralite.
(A) Keralite: A candidate of Kerala origin will be categorized as a ‘Keralite’. Children of All India Service (AIS) officers (Non-Keralites) allotted to Kerala cadre are deemed to be ‘Keralites’ as per G.O.(Rt) No.822/08/H.Edn dated 29.05.2008. But they will not be eligible for Communal/ Special/ Persons with Disabilities reservation. 
B) Non-Keralite: A candidate who is not of ‘Kerala origin’ but who has undergone the qualifying course in 
Kerala, and who is the son/daughter of the following categories of Non-Keralite parents will be categorized as Non-Keralite: 
i) Employees of the Government of India and defense personnel posted to Kerala.
ii) Employees, who are serving the Government of Kerala, subject to the condition that the employees have served in the state of Kerala or for the state of Kerala, for a minimum period of two years. 
(C) Non-Keralite candidates will be considered against ‘State Merit’ seats only and will not be eligible for 
Communal/Special/Persons with Disabilities reservation. 

Academic
 D Pharm (DP) 
Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of the Kerala state with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics/Biotechnology/Computer Science as Optional subjects or equivalent thereto are eligible.
OR
VHSE of Kerala from 1994-1995 sessions with group A and B only are considered as equivalent exam for admission to DPharm Course (Group A – NCERT syllabus in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biotechnology/Computer Science; Group B - NCERT syllabus in Physics, Chemistry and  Biology.)
 DHI (HI)
(a) Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala, or examinations recognized equivalent thereto, with 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology put together, are eligible. Relaxation of 5% marks will be allowed to SC/ST candidates.
(b) In the absence of candidates as per clause 6.2.2 (a), those who have passed Higher Secondary examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala, or examinations recognized equivalent thereto, with 40% marks in any group of subjects put together, are eligible. Relaxation of 5% marks will be allowed to SC/ST candidates.
Paramedical Courses (Courses other than D Pharm and DHI)
(a) Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala, or examinations recognized equivalent thereto, with 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology put together, are eligible. Relaxation of 5% marks will be allowed to SC/ST candidates.
(b) Candidates who have passed VHSE with 40% marks put together for Physics, Chemistry and Biology  are eligible. Relaxation of 5% marks will be allowed to SC/ST candidates.
(c) Candidates who are eligible as per clause 6.2.3 (b) and who have passed VHSE with Medical Laboratory Technology, Maintenance and Operation of Bio Medical Equipments as well as ECG and Audiometric Technology are further eligible for the seats reserved for DMLT(ML), DOTT (OT)and DCVT (CV).
Age
Except for service candidates, all other applicants shall have completed 17 years of age on 31.12.2013
and upper age limit is 35 as on 31.12.2013. No relaxation in the age limit shall be made on any 
account, except for Management quota seats of D Pharm course where maximum age limit is 
exempted.

HOW TO APPLY
Application for admission to Professional Diploma Courses 2013 in Pharmacy, Health Inspector and other Paramedical Courses in various Government/Self Financing Institutions can be registered only online through a single application. The provision for applying online is available at the website www.lbscentre.org or www.lbskerala.com. Submission of more than one application by a candidate will lead to rejection of the candidature.

Kerala University - Admission to Degree Courses 2013

 Candidates can apply for admission to the first year degree in affiliated Govt/Aided/Self Financing Arts & Science Colleges and UIT centers through the Kerala University Single Window Admission/Registration. All candidates, those who wish to join degree course shall register at the university website & university will do the allotment to the merit seats as wells as reservation seats.
Those who seeks admission under Management/Sports & Community quota should submit application to the desired colleges, after registering with the university. The single window registration will be valid for 10 government colleges, 36 aided colleges, 12 self financing colleges and 12 UIT centers. Another 7 self financing colleges will follow their own admission procedures.
Candidates can submit the online application from “Akshya Centers” as well.

IHRD Model Polytechnic Admission 2013


Institute of Human Resources Development (IHRD) is an autonomous educational institution established by the Government of Kerala in 1987. The institute is registered under The Travancore – Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable societies registrations Act 12 of 1955. The Institute's Memorandum of Association and its rules and regulations have been judiciously framed with built-in growth provisions. The management of the institute is vested with a Governing Body composed of   with the Hon’ble Minister of  Education, Kerala State, as  the Chairman and Principal Secretary, Higher Education Department, Government of Kerala as the Vice-Chairman.

IHRD invited applications for admission to the 3 years diploma course in the 7 Model Polytechnics under IHRD in Kerala. The Seven model polytechnics in Kerala are at Vadakara, Kallettumkara, Mala, Mattakkara, Painavu, Kalliassery, Karunagappally and Poonjar.

The application form and prospectus can be obtained from the above polytechnics for a fee of Rs. 200 (Rs. 100 for SC/ST). SELF FINANCING NURSING COLLEGES OF KERALA - BSc Nursing Admission 2013


The Asssociation of The Management of Self Financing Nursing Colleges of Kerala invites application online for admission to B.Sc Nursing from eligible candidates under management quota in the member colleges of AMSFNCK.

There are about 29 member colleges in the Asssociation of The Management of Self Financing Nursing Colleges of Kerala offering B.Sc Nursing.hese include colleges in different districts of Kerala like Thiruvananthapuram , Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kannur, Idukki, Kozhikode.

Eligibility:

NDA & NA Exam II 2013

UPSC will conduct the examination for NDA (II) 2013 on 11th Aug, 2013 for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA for the 132nd Course, and for the 94th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from 02 July 2014.

Age limits: Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1995 and not later than 1st Jan, 1998 are eligible.

How to Apply




Admission to Diploma Programmes in Kerala Polytechnic Colleges 2013-14


Applications can be submitted online for various Diploma Courses in Government and Self Financing Polytechnic Colleges of Kerala now.

The selection of candidates to Polytechnic colleges will be done district wise. The submission of applications will be “Online”.  Candidates can use single application for submitting applications for any number of districts.

Application fee: The application fee shall be Rs. 100/- per district. For scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe candidates, it shall be Rs.50/-. If a candidate submits application for more than one district, he will have to remit additional fee at the rate of Rs. 100 for each district. (Rs. 50 each for SC/ST candidates). Candidates should remit required fee to the Principal of the Polytechnic College where he/she submits the Application Form. The required fee shall be printed in the application form.

Eligibility: 


All candidates who have passed SSLC/THSLC or equivalent examination, with eligibility
for higher studies are eligible to apply for admission, subject to the following conditions.
a.  The candidate should be a citizen of India.
b. The candidate should be native of Kerala or undergone a qualifying examination from an institution in Kerala State or his/her parent should be a permanent employee in Central/State/Quasi Government/Public Sector undertaking in Kerala State.
Candidate who has taken more than two chances to secure eligibility for higher studies in SSLC/THSLC or equivalent examinations is not eligible for admission. Appearances for “Betterment” or “SAY” Examination will not be considered as a chance.
For CBSE / ISCE candidates the Marks / Grades obtained in Science is considered for calculating grade in science in the place of Physics and Chemistry.
Hearing Impaired candidates who have passed SSLC/THSLC or equivalent  examination, with eligibility for higher studies with 6 0dB or above hearing loss in better ear are eligible to apply for admission to Special Batches for Hearing Impaired.
